The first annual Tats 4 Toys benefitting the Ronald McDonald House in Morgantown has been an enormous success. The tattoo shop staff delivered more than 100 toys to the nonprofit Dec. 23. During the campaign, and as extra incentive, the shop offered special gift cards, which entitled those that donated toys to a discount on their next tattoo.

In the hearts and minds of the STICK Tattoo staff, there was no better cause to adopt during the holidays than children and families facing difficult times. The Ronald McDonald House works to keep families together in the face of childhood illness or injury by providing housing options to help ease the burden on the family. STICK has enjoyed an ongoing partnership with the Ronald McDonald House in Morgantown first through its participation in the Red Shoe Ride, the Suncrest Towne Centre bike wash this fall and now Tats 4 Toys. The shop hopes to continue helping the Ronald McDonald House cause even more in the future.

“Ronald McDonald House Charities of Morgantown is grateful to the Stick Tattoo Company for helping us to keep families close everyday as they face challenging times,” said Marla Werner, Development Director of RMHC Morgantown and RMHC Pittsburgh. “The toys provided by Stick Tattoo Company will bring so much joy to our families during this holiday season.”

The staff at STICK Tattoo enjoyed the toy drive as well.

“It’s so rewarding to be part of a shop that places such importance on giving back,” said tattoo artist Andrew Packard. “Hopefully the toys that we brought in will help to make Christmas this year at the Ronald McDonald House a little more merry and bright.”

Although toys were delivered on Dec. 23, the drive will continue through the end of the month with donors continuing to receive tattoo gift cards in exchange. Donations can be dropped off at STICK Tattoo, located in the Suncrest Towne Centre, during shop hours. Please note – the shop will be closed for the holidays on Dec. 24, 25, 26 and 31.
