Stick Tattoo Celebrates 10 Year Anniversary

2024 marks the 10 year anniversary of Stick Tattoo and it fills us with immense gratitude to reflect on the unwavering support we have received from our wonderful customers and community. The support we’ve gotten and friendships we made have been invaluable, and we are grateful for your trust in our shop. We value the opportunity to be an active part of this community and are proud to call this home.

Looking back, what started as a random vision and idea quickly gained momentum with the help of a business plan, a lease and a loan. The only thing missing was a team of artists, ha! Once the shop was under construction, we were able to secure our team and away we went. Like any team, there were some roster changes throughout the years, but we want to specifically thank both Brandon Volek and Brandon Moats for their trust in joining our team from Day 1. And while Brandon Volek is no longer at Stick, we have been proud to see all that he continues to accomplish with his own shop and exceptional talents.

We would also like to give a special shout out to Harmony Mafield, who joined our team within our first year and has become one of the most talented and experienced body piercers in the industry. Her dedication and drive have raised the standard of body piercings, not just at our shop, but in the region.

To every artist and coordinator who has been a part of our team, whether as a permanent member or as a guest spot artist, we extend our sincere appreciation. Specifically, we want to recognize Andrew Packard and Kelechi Ejimofor for their talents, contributions and tenure with our team. We continue to wish them the best with their careers.

As with every journey, we certainly endured a few bumps in the road along the way. Like all small businesses, the Covid-19 pandemic had a significant impact on our shop and artists. However, thanks to the support of our clients and drive from our team, we were able to regroup and get back into our groove as things slowly went back to normal.

We also found ourselves lost for words with the unexpected passing of our artist, our friend, our brother, Dan Lewis. Dan was a part of our team for several years and provided constant humor and entertainment for our team and our customers on a daily basis. Our thoughts remain with his family and friends as Dan will forever be part of our Stick family.

And now, as we enter 2024, we could not be more excited and proud of our team with their dedication, talents and experience. We invite you to meet each member of our team, whether by stopping by the shop or through our social media as we highlight their work and personalities.

The past 10 years have been filled with unforgettable memories, awesome artwork, incredible (and unique) piercings and meaningful connections. We look forward to many more years as we celebrate our anniversary with excitement and anticipation for the future.

Many thanks!
Damian & Rachael
